A burglar stole $32,300 worth of jewelry from a home on White Cap Drive, police said.
The burglary occurred between 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Tuesday and was reported at 3:04 p.m. Tuesday, according to a report. The burglar stole a watch, two necklaces, a heart-shaped pendant and a ring that were on a bathroom countertop, said Kathy Lowe, a Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman.
Police also arrested a 20-year-old Costa Mesa woman at East Coast Highway and Marigold Avenue at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a deceptive government i.d. Her bail was $500. Officers arrested at 67-year-old Irvine woman at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday at 101 Newport Center Drive on suspicion of burglary; her bail was $20,000, according to a report.
