A four-vehicle traffic collision snarled traffic but caused no serious injuries Monday afternoon at San Miguel Drive and San Joaquin Hills Road.
The crash occurred at 5:26 p.m., online police logs state.
“Several callers reported hearing the collision and at least one caller witnessed it,” said Kathy Lowe, a Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman, in an email. “The vehicles involved were a Ford Expedition, Audi, Toyota Camry, and a Subaru.”
Newport Beach Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, and one person was assessed but declined further treatment or transportation to the hospital, said Jennifer Schulz, a department spokeswoman, in an email.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, Lowe said.
