Children heading to the library next week will get to see “balloon theater,” enormous bubbles and a pajama party, according to the library’s events calendar.

On Monday, the Central Library will host a pajama storytime event from 7 to 7:30 p.m. Kids from 3 to 7 years old can wear their pjs to the library for a bedtime story.

On Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. and again from noon to 1 p.m., Annie Banannie will tell children’s stories by using “balloon theater” in the Central Library’s Friends Room. Each show will end with Annie’s popular giant 6-foot balloon, the library website states. An adult must accompany children, and attendance will be limited by room capacity.

From 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, the Corona del Mar library branch will host Bubblemania, where an “amazing bubble-ologist” will create soap bubble art including bubbles big enough for a child to fit inside. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and attendance is limited by room capacity.

The Central Library is located at 1000 Avocado Ave., and the Corona del Mar branch is located at 420 Marigold Ave.
