Police took two reports of grand theft this week in Corona del Mar, according to incident reports.
One theft occurred in the 300 block of Marguerite Avenue between June 11 and June 19. The theft, which was reported Sunday, resulted in a loss of $11,650 worth of gold chains and bracelets.
The other theft occurred in the 500 block of Larkspur Avenue between June 13 and Monday and was reported Tuesday. The loss was $15,368 and included sterling silver flatware, earrings, a necklace and about $350 in cash, said Kathy Lowe, a Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman.
A petty theft with a loss of $500 was reported in the 2800 block of Pelican Hill Road at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday, according to a report.
Police also arrested a 20-year-old Mission Viejo man at 3:54 a.m. Tuesday at East Coast Highway and Avocado Avenue. The man was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft in connection to a San Clemente case.
