A 4.1 quake near Yorba Linda could be felt in Corona del Mar a few minutes ago, some residents reported.

The quake occurred at 8:17 p.m. and was centered about two miles from Yorba Linda, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

No reports of damage or injuries were immediately available.

“It was longer than usual, started slow,” one Corona del Mar Today reader reported on Twitter. “Pictures on the wall shook but not too bad, nothing fell or broke.”

I didn't even feel it. My 9-year-old said she heard it. What does that mean?

If you can follow on Twitter or Facebook, you might want to consider adding Gary Robbins, formerly of the OC Reg and now in San Diego. He's a great weather/science writer. https://www.utsandiego.com/staff/gary-robbins/
