The annual Magic Shoe 5K/Walk Run will take place Saturday morning, temporarily closing streets surrounding Corona del Mar High School.
The race benefits the Cynthia Holcomb Magic Shoe Foundation, distributing more than 23,000 pairs of shoes within the community, according to the event’s website.
Registration and packet pickup will begin at 6:30 a.m., with a Health Expo and shoe drive from 6:30 to 11 a.m. The 5K run/walk starts and 8 a.m., and a kids’ 1K run starts at 9 a.m.
Police said that Eastbluff Drive between Mar Vista Drive and Vista del Oro/Cacao Street will be closed or have limited access between 5 and 11 a.m. Other streets that will be affected are Mar Vista Drive and Vista del Sol Vista Del Oro between Mar Vista and Eastbluff drives.
Parking is available at Corona del Mar High School at 2101 Eastbluff Drive.
