The California Department of Transportation this week will begin a monthlong project on East Coast Highway between School-State Park and Newport Coast Drive.
Crews will grind the existing roadway, resurface it with a rubberized asphalt overlay and add new striping, according to a Caltrans website.
The project will consist of grinding the existing roadway, resurfacing with an rubberized asphalt overlay, and new striping.
“The work is being done to preserve and extend the pavement life to provide a smoother surface that greatly enhances the ride quality along Pacific Coast Highway,” according to the website.
Work will be performed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with no weekend work planned.
