From the Police Log: Thefts, Suspicious Circumstance Call, Arrests

Police investigated a report of suspicious circumstances at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Seaward Road, according to a police report. The incident had occurred between 7 p.m. April 4 and 4 p.m. Sunday, and nothing was reported stolen or lost, the report said. No further information was immediately available.

Police took a report of a grand theft in the 23200 block of Reef Point Drive at 9:13 a.m. Tuesday. The theft, with a loss of $3,986.55, occurred sometime between March 20 and Monday, the report said.

Police arrested a 34-year-old Santa Ana man at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday at East Coast Highway and Pelican Point Drive on suspicion of using false identification to conceal citizenship, a report states. The man’s bail was $50,000.

A 21-year-old Mission Viejo man was arrested at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday at 701 Newport Center Drive on suspicion of petty theft; bail was $500. A 49-year-old Anaheim woman was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Tuesday at Poppy Avenue and Ocean Boulevard on suspicion of use of parks at night; bail was $100. And police arrested a 34-year-old Garden Grove man at 3:24 a.m. Tuesday at Poinsettia Avenue and Ocean Boulevard on suspicion of appropriate of lost property valued at less than 400, according to a report.
