The 2012 Newport Beach Art Exhibition and Sale will take place on April 14, and the city is asking for regional artists to submit their work.
The exhibition will take place at the OASIS Senior Center at Fifth and Marguerite avenues. Artists will drop off their work between 10 and 11 a.m. and return for an awards reception at 4:30 p.m.
Entry fees are $15 per artist for one piece and $20 for two pieces, and the limit per person is two entries. Entry forms can be downloaded on the city’s website.
Artists must live or work in Orange County and be at least 18 years old, and entries will be limited to the first 150 people who apply.
Prizes of $300, $200 and $100 will be given to the top three artists in sculpture, photography and painting. A judge’s choice winner will receive $100. Artist Tom Lamb will be the judge.
The art will be on display from 1 to 6 p.m., and all sales will be coordinated by the Newport Beach Arts Foundation with 30 percent of all sales donated to the foundation for ongoing community arts programs.
Entry forms and fees should be submitted as soon as possible to the Cultural Arts office at the Central Library at 1000 Avocado Ave.
