Restaurant Week Begins Friday

Beginning Friday, diners at dozens of Newport Beach restaurants will find a special prix-fixe menus with bargain prices as the Newport Beach Restaurant Week gets underway.

Restaurant Week runs Friday through Jan. 29 with lunch and dinner specials that typically three offerings per course. Lunch menus are priced at $10, $15 or $20, and dinners are $20, $30 or $40.

In Corona del Mar, El Ranchito, Landmark Steakhouse, Port Restaurant and Bar, The Summer House, The Crow Bar & Kitchen, Five Crowns, Mayur Cuisine of India, Rothschild’s Restaurant, The Bungalow and Tommy Bahama’s are participating.

The Port Restaurant & Bar is hosting a pre-Restaurant Week Fifth Anniversary party on Thursday, owner Ali Zadeh said.

The private VIP party will feature live music, drink specials and appetizers, and the event will open to the public at 8 p.m., he said. Port Restaurant is located at 440 Heliotrope Ave.
