The Daughters of the American Revolution honored Harbor View fifth-graders Thomas and Claire Robertson for “excellence in American History” in a school district ceremony last week.

Thomas and Claire, both 11, were selected by their respective teachers for the honor. Neither teacher knew that the other was also picking a Robertson sibling, and both cited “good citizenship” for their decision. “It’s been a great few weeks for the Robertson clan,” said Kati Robertson, mother of Thomas and Claire. Bonnie Robertson, who is the third of the triplets, was happy for her brother and sister and not at all jealous. “Fortunately, Bonnie is not likely to take a back seat to anyone,” her mother said. “She is too fun to ignore.”

Harbor View was one of 20 public and private schools to honor one fifth grader from each classroom for this year’s award. District administrators attended the ceremony along with principals and teachers from most of the schools.
