My goodness, CdM and Las Vegas are definitlely like night and day in so many ways. Although Las Vegas will always have a place in my heart, moving to CdM, as I have come to learn over time, was probably one of the best decisions EVER! In Vegas, you suffer nothing but never-ending heat, rising above 100 degrees 95% of the summer, boredom caused by the heat, and lack of healthy air because of the crowded casinos. Although the strip (or the part of Vegas everyone remembers, which is the large clump of hotels) is a bunch of fun, when you live there for three years, it becomes a burden. Regardless, I can't help but miss all the great friends I made there...and all the memories we created. The school system, in my opinion, was a bit more open-minded than CdMHS, but my new high school proved itself to be more than worthy! In Vegas, there was a lot less pressure to dress a certain way or have the ability to buy certain things. In CdM, though, I can spend time with my new friends, who I have grown to accept and love like family, in a place that that is so safe and fun-filled. In CdM and Newport Beach, the ocean, sand, sun, shopping, fashion, sports, and relaxation is always available! Plus, I don't have to deal with an unbearable climate... Corona del Mar is utterly fantastic!
