Newport Beach police made two arrests early Sunday in Corona del Mar, police logs show. Both arrests occurred at Narcissus Avenue and East Coast Highway between 12 and 1 a.m. Corona del Mar Today will report further details as they become available.
Police also investigated three reports of occupied suspicious vehicles along Ocean Boulevard. At 12:29 a.m. Sunday at Orchid Avenue, officers issued a citation, and at 11:49 p.m. Saturday at Poppy Avenue, officers talked to the subject with no citation. At 9:07 p.m Saturday, officers cited another subject at Poppy Avenue.
Police also investigated a report of illegal fireworks in the 800 block of Marguerite Avenue just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Police also received two reports of misdemeanor hit-and-run accidents –one at 7:39 Saturday at Goldenrod Avenue and East Coast Highway, and the other at 7:11 p.m. at Avocado Avenue and Corporate Plaza Drive.
