Four vehicles had windows smashed, and thieves stole golf clubs from two of the vehicles at the Marriott’s Newport Coast Villas, according to police.

The incidents all were reported between 6:04 and 11:33 a.m. today, online logs state. In one incident, the window was smashed but nothing was taken, said Kathy Lowe, a spokeswoman for the Newport Beach Police Department. In one case, golf clubs were taken, and in another, two sets of golf clubs were taken. No information was available about the third incident, Lowe said.

Police also arrested a 36-year-old Newport Beach woman at 12:03 a.m. today after receiving a call of a possible drunk driver at East Coast Highway near MacArthur Boulevard, Lowe said.

“Officers stopped the vehicle at Macarthur and Bonita Canyon and arrested the female driver for driving under the influence,” Lowe said.

Police also took a report of vandalism at 12:29 p.m. today in the 100 block of Newport Center Drive, and they made an arrest at 11:28 a.m. today after a report of a petty theft in the 800 block of Avocado Avenue, online logs state.
