B. Candy is a Corona del Mar Today advertiser and supporter, but that’s not why we are posting this rave.
We recently noticed the new additions on the B.Candy roof — a mean-looking candy apple, a candy corn and a Peep ghost. So we stopped in to ask about them.
“We made them,” an employee said. “Out of chicken wire and paper mache.”
The fourth-graders with us were deeply impressed by this. Then we noticed all the Halloween candy that B.Candy had in stock.
Edible eyeballs, spider web cookie kits, a “haunted hunt” chocolate game, “witches warts,” orange hot chocolate, an enormous black and orange gummy worm, pumpkin pop rocks, zombie blood candy — more gross-out, crazy, Halloween-themed items than we’ve seen in a long time.
It was fun. I love shops that really embrace the season.
