An October “What’s Cooking” event, as well as a Sunday concert, have been cancelled, library officials have announced.
The “What’s Cooking at the Library” event with Chef Dave Martin from Bravo TV’s “Top Chef” was scheduled for Tuesday Oct. 18. The event was cancelled because of a conflict with Martin’s new restaurant opening in New York, organizers said in a statement.
An Oct. 30 “Sunday Musicale with Elixir Piano Trio” also was cancelled because of construction in the Central Library, officials said. Read more about the construction, which will close most of the Central library between Oct. 17 and Oct. 30, in our earlier story here.
The Sunday Musicale with Elixir Piano Trio has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Feb. 12.
“At this time we don’t have a new date for Chef Dave Martin but we hope to have him back again in 2012,” said Katherine Mielke, a library spokeswoman, in an email. “Our next What’s Cooking at the Library event is on January 17, 7 p.m. featuring Chef Ryan Wilson from Five Crowns in Corona del Mar. Anyone who registered/paid for the October event was given the option of getting their money returned or applying it to registration for the January event.”
