From the Police Log: Petty Theft, Arrests

Newport Beach police took a report of a petty theft at the Quiet Woman at 2:20 p.m. Monday, according to a police report.

The theft, which resulted in a loss of $595, occurred between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Saturday.

Officers also took a report of misuse of an access card at Albertsons at 3049 East Coast Highway at 2:23 p.m. Friday; the loss was $85.

Police arrested two people at 1:52 a.m. Monday at Poppy Avenue at Ocean Boulevard, reports state. A man, 30, of Anaheim and a man, 19, of Orange were booked on suspicion of disorderly conduct while intoxicated; bail for each was set at $500. A woman, 38, of Long Beach was arrested at 2:25 p.m. Monday at 701 Newport Center Drive on suspicion of burglary; bail was set at $20,000, according to a report. A woman, 34, of Buena Park, was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 8:52 a.m. Thursday at East Coast Highway at Cameo Shores; her bail was set at $2,500.

A man, 50, with no listed city of residence, was arrested at 2865 East Coast Highway at 2:29 p.m. Monday and booked on suspicion of appropriation of lost property valued at less than $400; bail was set at $500, a report states. Police also arrested a woman, 19, of Huntington Beach on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance at 1 a.m. Friday at Coast Highway and Los Trancos; her bail was set at $20,000. They also arrested a woman, 19, of Garden Grove on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance at 1:10 a.m. Friday at the same location; her bail was set at $1,000.
