Flip Truck Will Serve Big Corona Beach This Weekend

Wahoo’s Fish Tacos, which has served refreshments at Big Corona State Beach on weekends since Memorial Day, will be replaced this weekend by the Flip Truck, city officials said.
The hours of operation will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday through Monday.
The temporary concessions will last through the summer, and in the fall, city officials plan to seek requests for proposals for a full-time concessionaire to take over the refreshment stand at the beach. An earlier request for proposals elicited just one application, so city officials decided to take a look at the lease and try again in the fall.
The stand has remained closed since November, when the Fuji Grill closed. The Fuji Grill owner removed cooking equipment he had purchased for the stand, so vendors this summer will operate from catering trucks.
