Armed Man Steals Drugs From CDM Rite Aid

A man armed with a stun gun robbed the Corona del Mar Rite Aid, stealing drugs before fleeing, according to police reports.
The man got away with $1081.29 worth of drugs during the robbery at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, just before the business closed for the evening. Rite Aid is located at 3141 East Coast Highway.

Brush Fire Near Newport Coast Quickly Extinguished

Newport Beach Fire Department crews quickly put out a small brush fire about 11:15 a.m. today along the southbound 73 Toll Road. The fire, about an eighth of an acre, caused no evacuations or threats to structures, said Jennifer Schulz, a fire department spokeswoman.
