Undefeated 7th Grade Team Goes 3-0

The Newport Mesa NJB All Stars 7th Grade team recently won three games, beating Rancho Santa Margarita 31 to 26, Aliso Niguel 40 to 29 and Laguna Hills 46 to 40.
The team ran a motion offense with a mixed man-on-man and 2 1 2 zone defense — occasionally threw in a zone full court trap press.
The team includes Mitch Dean, Adam Freeman, Jordan Hauser, Blake Kormos, Derek Mathuny, Harry Miller, Ford Secrist, Nick Sperr and Jake Whelan.
