Thin Mint Season

Today, hundreds of Girl Scouts began their annual tradition of selling Thin Mints, peanut butter patties and trefoil-shaped shortbreads with the official start of the Girl Scout Cookies sales season.

On Saturday, troop leaders picked up 50,000 cases of cookies for 480 troops at Irvine’s Great Park. Today, Scouts hit the streets with eight kinds of cookies, selling $4 boxes as they dodged the rain.

Look for Scouts to be selling cookies at booths outside Gelson’s and Bristol Farms in upcoming weeks.
