Dog Is Missing After Disappearing From Boat

Boaters who left the Newport Beach Harbor entrance Sunday afternoon made it to Emerald Bay before discovering their Pomeranian dog was missing, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Harbor Patrol logs.
The dog was reported missing from the boat just before 3 p.m.
“We have not located the dog at this time,” Sgt. Steven McCormick said this afternoon.
The dog might have managed to swim to shore. If anyone has seen a Pomeranian along local beaches, they should call the Harbor Patrol offices at (949) 723-1002.
