Newport police have identified a Corona del Mar robbery suspect as David Paul Colussi, a convicted bank robber looking at his third strike, said Sgt. Evan Sailor.
A $1 million dollar arrest warrant has been issued for Colussi, who has served time in federal prison for previous bank robbery convictions, Sailor said. 
His last known address was in Los Alamitos. Police described him as 51 years old, 5′ 8″ tall with brown hair and green eyes. He drives a gray four-door 1995 Chrysler Cirrus with the California license plate number 3KOY168 . He also is known to use public transportation and bikes, Sailor said.
Colussi should be considered armed and dangerous. He is suspected of robbing the Wachovia Bank at 3600 East Coast Highway just before 1 p.m. on Friday May 22. He entered the bank, gave the teller a note demanding money and claiming to have a gun. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the area on foot.
