From the Police Log: Two Grand Thefts From Vehicles

Newport Beach police officers took reports of two grand thefts from vehicles this week on Corona del Mar, reports state.

One theft occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. Sunday and 8:15 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of Orchid Avenue. The loss was $7,025.

The second theft occurred sometime between 12:08 and 7:15 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of Poinsettia Avenue. The police report did not indicate the amount that was lost.

In other police news, a 42-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested at 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Newport Center Drive and booked on suspicion of burglary; his bail was set at $20,000.
