UPDATE: Most parents have turned in their forms, the school’s principal said this afternoon.

Nearly a third of Harbor View Elementary School students haven’t turned in emergency forms, which means they won’t be placed in a classroom.

About 300 student forms have been turned in, but about 90 have not. The school office will be open until 4 p.m. today for the forms to be submitted. Otherwise, on the first day on Tuesday, students will be in a separate classroom until their parents fill out the forms, said Principal Charlene Metoyer.

On Saturday, the school’s School Loop site will be activated, she said, and parents who have turned in the forms will be able to see their child’s classroom assignment.
