From the Police Log: Grand Theft, DUI, Fake I.D., Narcotics Arrests

A grand theft from a vehicle resulted in a $3,200 loss in the 1600 block of East Coast Highway, police reports state. The incident occurred sometime between 5 and 7 p.m. Aug. 18 and was reported two days later, and the report was on the incident logs today.

In other police news, a 41-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics in the 1000 block of Bayside Drive at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, records state. A 21-year-old Costa Mesa woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI at Avocado Avenue and East Coast Highway at 2:31 a.m. Monday; her bail was set at $2,500. A 31-year-old Lake Forest man was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license in the 100 block of Newport Center Drive at 12:30 p.m. Monday; bail was set at $2,500. A 47-year-old woman was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday on suspicion of driving without a license on East Coast Highway at Goldenrod Avenue; her bail was set at $2,500. And a 19-year-old Newport Beach man was arrested at 10 p.m. Wednesday on suspicion of possession of a deceptive government i.d. in the 500 block of Larkspur Avenue; bail was set at $500.
