Spectators are gathering at The Wedge and on lookout points near Big Corona Beach with good views of The Wedge, watching the crashing 10-foot waves. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s Harbor Patrol reported at least one rescue off The Wedge, according to an online blotter, and red warning flags are up at local beaches. Bigger waves are expected to roll in this weekend.
