More Dog Rants

I know you all love dogs, and you all clean up your dogs’ messes, and you would NEVER take your dog to the funeral of a man not known for his love of canine pets.

I know that this rant will fall on deaf ears, or maybe offend or make some of you defensive.

But I just need to get this off my chest.

Dog owners do not clean up their dogs’ poop. They don’t. Not all of them, and not all the time.

Yesterday, I was getting a haircut and a dog walked by and pooped all over the sidewalk. The owner cleaned up most of the mess, but she left quite a bit for others to step in and get all over their shoes. Thanks for that!

Today, we walked from our house to Crystal Cove. There were DOZENS of piles of dog doody on the paths, the sidewalks, the dirt just by the paths. Close to three dozen piles. It was a sad, sick kind of game to spot them and track them. What a pre-breakfast delight!

The blue bags being offered for free to dog walkers along the paths? A bit ironic, really.
