I enjoy the funky look. Thank god it doesn't look like the mundane, sterile Mediterranean inspired strip malls that plague Corona del Mar.

I'm loving it! I love the teak panels with the metal and glass. Maybe I'm just reacting to the complete change from the previous structure, but the combination of materials is really working for me. I can only imagine how anxious the seniors and the staff are to get back in that place.

Yes, Marion is correct about being anxious to move into the new facility. Our non profit organization provides an ongoing support group for disenfranchised grandparents, and we are currently bursting at the seams in the OASIS ANNEX across the street. We think the building is perfect and will be beautiful once the landscaping is complete.

You know, early on I also felt some unease regarding the various colors and the variety of surfaces chosen for the exterior of the new Oasis Center. But now I feel it will be a credit to the neighborhood especially after the landscaping has matured.

I lived in CDM 20 years ago and lived on Marguerite. I would pass the Oasis daily and it always had a soft place in my heart, as do older adults. I visit CDM weekly because I miss it so much and have seen the "new look" of Oasis. I think it is beautiful!!! Seniors deserve the best and CDM knows how to serve their seniors. I can't wait to see the finishing touches. Great job to everyone!
