As people arrived at Big Newport on Tuesday to see the third movie in the Twilight Saga Eclipse, they were faced with a dilemma: which line should to stand in? It turns out; Nordstrom had invited certain shoppers to see Eclipse before midnight, at a 9:30 showing. The line to see the midnight showing was much longer than the line to see it earlier.
Though I was offered passes to see the movie early multiple times once I was waiting in the line for the average citizen, I chose to wait until midnight to see the movie that was so much anticipated by my fellow twi-hards (die-hard twilight fans). I figured that waiting until midnight would make the movie that much more memorable, and I was right.
“Eclipse” was, by far, the best Twilight movie yet. Not only were there more scenes where both Edward and Jacob were on screen at once, a prospect of the movie that thrilled both “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” fans, but there was also much more action and suspense in the third movie of the Twilight saga. New vampires were also introduced, my favorite being Riley played by Xavier Samuel. Victoria, the red-headed vampire and antagonist of this movie, was also replaced: Bryce Dallas Howard replaced Rachelle Lefevre. I believe that Howard did play a better Victoria, though the idea that vampires never age or change at all made this change very noticeable.
Overall, Eclipse was well worth the wait until midnight and I wouldn’t have seen it any other way.
