From the Police Log: Stolen Vehicles Recovered, Arrests, Thefts

Newport Beach police recovered two stolen vehicles in the Corona del Mar-Fashion Island area this weekend, according to online logs.

A stolen car was recovered at 10:50 p.m. Friday at Marguerite Avenue at East Coast Highway, and another stolen vehicle was recovered at 12:48 a.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Newport Center Drive, reports state. Details including whether the cases were related were not immediately available.

Police also made an arrest following a vehicle stop at 12:27 a.m. today at East Coast Highway and Goldenrod Avenue, logs state. Officers also made an arrest at 11:18 p.m. Friday after a vehicle stop at Avocado Avenue and East Coast Highway. No further information was available.

Two vehicle thefts were reported this weekend as well, including a report at 10:48 a.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of Pacific View Drive and a report at 7:23 p.m. Friday at Ocean Boulevard and Marguerite Avenue.

Officers kept the peace at 3:55 a.m. today after a report of a battery in the 23000 block of Newport Coast Drive, and the kept the peace at 4:59 p.m. Friday after a report of road rage at Avocado Avenue and San Miguel Drive.

A misdemeanor hit-and-run incident occurred at 2:52 p.m. Saturday at Poppy Avenue and East Coast Highway, logs show. And officers responded to four disturbance calls over the weekend. At 1:41 a.m. today, they responded to a complaint in the 700 block of Heliotrope Avenue, at 11:16 p.m. Saturday, they responded to a party disturbance call in the 400 block of Larkspur Avenue, at 8:49 p.m. Saturday, they responded to a party disturbance call in the 600 block of Seaward Road, and at 6:41 a.m. Saturday they responded to a disturbance call in the 800 block of Narcissus Avenue, logs state.
