They are simply bad tasting plastic disguised as candy. I recommend getting Twizzlers instead. We bought some yesterday for my son who is about to get braces. They were soft, delicious and so tasty! They are also a fabulous snack at the movies, since the sweet, soft chewiness is a perfect complement to salty, crunchy popcorn! Plus, at 150 calories for 6 licorice sticks, they're a lowfat treat. As you can tell, one of my favorite sweets growing up in Minnesota was licorice. The corner grocery store had licorice in many flavors -- strawberry, cherry, mint, grape, black and chocolate! It must be a Midwest thing to have so many sugary, sweet choices to get through the never-ending winters! Amy,
