Revision of Port Street Kids Rant

Recently, I ranted about how dumb Port Street kids are because they play in the street. I thought of it today because I was driving in the Port Streets and sure enough, there were dumb kids standing in the street staring at me stupidly. I felt smug that in CdM, we aren’t that idiotic.

So I was completely shamed when I drove home along East Coast Highway and saw a young woman, out for a jog, stretching. She was using a street sign, hanging on to it, leaning back and streeetttcchiiinngggg.

But was she leaning away from the sign, over the sidewalk?

No! She was leaning away from the sign, into the street! Into an empty parking space that was hidden by a car — someone parking could have swerved right into her.

I’m not ready to take it back about Port Street kids, but I’m conceding that CdM has some dummies, too.
