The Place Holding Fundraising Raffle To Help Brain Tumor Research

The Place in Corona del Mar is rallying around one of its regular customer’s efforts to help her brother, who has spent years fighting a brain tumor.

Sarah Green’s brother, Bobby, has been through aggressive treatment twice and is currently doing well enough to participate in the American Brain Tumor Association walk in Chicago in May. But Sarah Green couldn’t be there, so she and Mary from The Place came up with a way to help him reach his $10,000 fundraising goal.

Mary is selling raffle tickets at The Place from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, and on Sunday morning. The tickets are $10 apiece, but if you buy ten you get ten free. On Sunday at noon, names will be drawn for prizes including gift cards donated by restaurants throughout Corona del Mar: Bandera, Quiet Woman, Landmark, The Crow Bar, The Port Restaurant and Bar, Five Crowns, Oyster’s, Gina’s, Bamboo Bistro, Wine Gallery and more.

You don’t need to be present to win, but if you do head to The Place on Sunday, they ask you to wear green to represent Bobby Green. The Place is located at 2920 East Coast Highway.
