Newport Beach police made three drug-related arrests late Sunday at Ocean Boulevard and Jasmine Avenue, records show. A 19-year-old woman was booked on suspicion of possession of concentrated cannabis and a 21-year-old man was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance; bail for each was set at $20,000. A 24-year-old man was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence with bail set at $15,000. The arrests occurred just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
On Monday, police arrested a man at Fernleaf Avenue and Fifth Street on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Los Angeles County, records show. His bail was set at $100,000, which police said was unusually high for a traffic warrant. No further information was available.
Police records also show that at about 12:16 today, officers took a report of a misdemeanor hit and run at Marguerite Avenue and East Coast Highway.
